Camp Paccar

to 23 May

Camp Paccar

PACCAR Scout Camp, located in Chalfont St Peter, Buckinghamshire, is a premier destination for Scouts, Guides, and school groups seeking outdoor adventure and skill-building experiences. Spanning 60 acres of picturesque countryside, the site features extensive woodlands, two large camping fields, and indoor accommodations, providing a versatile setting for various activities and events. The camp offers a diverse range of activities, including high ropes courses, zip wires, climbing walls, archery, rifle shooting, caving, and team-building exercises like crate stacking and the Gladiator Challenge. These activities are designed to cater to all ages and abilities, promoting personal development and group cohesion.

Food:

To fuel young guests during a long day of thrilling adventure activities, three meals are served per day with lots of choice and seasonal variations. Each day there is a carefully balanced and nutritional meal plan. Most dietary requirements are catered for, please do specify all dietary requirements on your child’s form, even if the school already has them on file. Paccar Scout Camp is a completely nut free site and the children should not pack/bring any food with them so that this remains the case.

Sleeping:

At Paccar Scout camp we will be staying in tents. The tents will be gender-separated with gender-separated bathrooms and shower facilities and party leader tents alongside the children. At High Beeches, we always ask the children to give us the names of 2 peers who they would like to share a room with. We then assign the children’s tents based on these choices. It is our policy that we do not tell the children who they are sharing rooms with until we are settling into our tents.

  • Wednesday 21st May: Departure at approx. 10.20am (tbc) - lunch will be provided on arrival before activities begin.

  • Thursday 22nd May: Four activities during the day plus an evening activity which will run until 9pm. Into bed and lights out by 10pm.

  • Friday 23rd May: Breakfast, one activity, picnic lunch and then time to head home.

Adults attending with the children: Mr Walker, Miss Champken, Miss Pike, Mr Edney, Mrs Jones and Mrs Drake.

The school has provided more information, the above and below includes some highlights. Please refer to the letters and communications already sent home or contact the school directly if you have more specific questions.
