Frequently Asked Questions
Is the Leavers Party obligatory to attend?
No absolutely not. It’s completely optional but is a fun way to end their years at High Beeches.
I’m so confused by all the events! What are they all and how are they different from each other?
It can feel like a lot when you read about them all but if you have a look at the events page you will see a bit more information. The production is a special play that the kids spend weeks getting ready for us, the party is a celebration and the assembly is a more official way for the school to say goodbye.
What am I being asked to pay for?
In a nutshell, at the end of year six the parents and students cover three main things (outside of costs for Paccar and snowdome visits which the school organise):
1) There is the school gift (a larger gift from the whole year to the school to remember them by)
2) The contribution to the leavers party which covers all food etc for the year six children
3) Finally you will be contacted separately about your class teacher gifts.
Links to pay for the school gift are at the bottom of every page on this website (we will add links for the leavers party as soon as we can). We will ask for a minimum contribution for the party but the other item amounts are at your discretion.
Can all my children attend the party?
Yes. Siblings young and old can attend at no cost! But please note that they will not be catered for. You must bring your own food and drink for any adults or siblings attending the party.
I can’t make the party, can my child attend anyway?
No unfortunately all children must have a parent or supervising adult as this is not a school event. If your child or children attend with another parent please ensure they are aware that they are responsible for the behaviour of both their own and your child or children.
